Montgomery County, MD — Will Milam, candidate for Montgomery County Sheriff, announced today that his campaign has surpassed $100,000 in contributions, reflecting strong, broad-based support in the Democratic primary.

According to the most recent campaign finance filing, Milam reported $102,509 in total contributions, raised entirely from supporters with no personal loans. The campaign received support from more than 70 individual donors and 16 labor organizations, representing a wide coalition of residents, working families, organized labor, and public safety professionals.
“This milestone isn’t about a number — it’s about trust,” said Milam. “Every dollar raised represents someone who believes Montgomery County deserves experienced, responsible leadership and a Sheriff’s Office the community can be proud of. I’m incredibly grateful for the confidence our supporters have placed in this campaign. This level of grassroots and labor support shows what’s possible when people come together around shared values of public safety, accountability, and strong community partnership.”

The campaign also announced a new wave of endorsements from elected officials: State Senator Nancy King; State Delegates Jhanelle Wilkins, Greg Wims, Lesley Lopez, and Aaron Kaufman; and Poolesville Town Commissioners Jim Brown, Ed Reed, Alan Hobbs, Bryan Bupp, and Sarah Paksima.

In addition, Milam has earned the endorsements of several former elected officials, including former Montgomery County Councilmembers Bruce Adams and Mike Knapp, former Rockville City Councilmember Virginia Onley, and former Takoma Park City Councilmember Lynne Bradley, who joined former Montgomery County Executive Isiah “Ike” Leggett; former Montgomery County State’s Attorney and Maryland Attorney General Doug Gansler; and former Maryland State Delegate Ana Sol Gutierrez in supporting Milam’s campaign. The campaign also announced endorsements from community leaders, including Bishop Paul Walker, Michelle Graham, Kim Kelsey Naylor, Thomas Colbert, Asia Moore, Ken Reichard, Yaminah Leggett-Wells, and George Fenster.

Milam has further secured the endorsements of major labor and public safety organizations: International Association of Firefighters – Local 1664 (Montgomery County Career Firefighters); UFCW Local 1994 MCGEO (Deputy Sheriffs and Corrections Officers); Fraternal Order of Police Lodges 30 and 35 (Montgomery County & Maryland-National Capital Park Police Officers); and the Maryland State Fraternal Order of Police, representing over 20,000 active and retired officers statewide.
